Community Guidelines

EchoLive Platform — Keeping Our Community Safe
Version 7.0  |  Effective July 30, 2026  |  Last Updated July 30, 2026  |  Governing Law State of Ohio  |  Operated by EchoLive, Inc.
Entity Echo Live Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Ohio
Our goal is to keep EchoLive a safe, respectful, and welcoming place for everyone. These Community Guidelines explain what is and isn’t allowed on EchoLive, how we protect minors and our community, and how we enforce the rules fairly. To make them easy to follow, each section includes the full standard and a short, green "In plain language" explanation. The plain-language notes are for convenience only; the formal standard controls. They apply to all users and all content, and the most serious categories — above all, anything involving the safety of minors — carry absolute zero tolerance.

1.Who These Guidelines Apply To

These Community Guidelines apply broadly to protect the entire community:

  • They apply to all Users and to all Content and conduct on or through the Platform.
  • They apply regardless of whether Content is public or private, live or recorded, or sent to one person or to many.
  • They apply to all formats, including video, audio, images, text, usernames, profile information, links, and metadata.
  • Conduct that occurs off the Platform may be considered where it is relevant to the safety of our community or to a User's eligibility to participate.
  • Creators and amplifier partners are also subject to additional standards in their respective agreements, which supplement these Guidelines.
In plain language

This says who has to follow the rules: everyone, in every format (video, audio, text, usernames, links), whether your content is public or private, live or recorded. Even some off-platform behavior counts if it affects community safety.

2.Age Requirements & Account Integrity

2.1Minimum Age

The Platform is available to users who are at least thirteen (13) years old (or older where local law requires). Users aged 13 to 17 ("Teen Users") may not access adult-only (18+) features such as broadcasting, earning, purchasing Echo Coins, or sending Gifts.

2.2Truthful Identity & Age

  • Providing false age or identity information is a serious violation and results in termination.
  • You must not misrepresent who you are, your age, or your affiliation.
  • We may require you to verify your identity or age through our third-party verification provider (Didit), including before high-value purchases or where we believe you may not meet our minimum age. You must complete verification truthfully when asked.
  • You must not attempt to bypass, defeat, or provide false information to identity or age verification, or use another person’s identity or documents to pass verification.

2.3Account Limits & Ban Evasion

  • Each User may maintain only one Account unless expressly authorized.
  • Operating multiple, fake, or bot Accounts to manipulate the Platform or evade enforcement is prohibited.
  • Creating or using a new Account to evade a suspension or termination (ban evasion) is prohibited and results in termination of all related Accounts.
In plain language

You must be 13+ to use EchoLive and 18+ to go live, earn, or use money features. Lying about your age is a serious violation. Keep to one account, no bots, and don't make a new account to dodge a ban.

3.Safety & Protection of Minors

Zero ToleranceViolations in this section result in immediate termination, preservation of evidence, and reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement where required by law. There are no warnings, strikes, or appeals for these violations.

3.1Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Child sexual abuse material of any kind is strictly and absolutely prohibited. This includes real, simulated, animated, illustrated, cartoon, or computer-generated material, regardless of claimed age or fictional framing.

3.2Grooming & Exploitation

Any behavior that constitutes grooming, exploitation, or inappropriate contact with a minor is strictly prohibited, including:

  • Soliciting private communication with a minor through chat, direct messages, or any feature.
  • Requesting, sharing, or encouraging a minor to share personal information such as address, school, or phone number.
  • Attempting to establish a relationship with a minor for the purpose of meeting offline or for any sexual or exploitative purpose.
  • Sending or soliciting gifts, Echo Coins, or any virtual item to or from accounts known or suspected to belong to minors.
  • Any communication that sexualizes, demeans, or places a minor in an inappropriate situation.
  • Facilitating a minor's access to alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or any controlled substance, or to adult content.
  • Facilitating secrecy between an adult and a minor or isolating a minor from trusted adults.

3.3Minors on the Platform & Adult Supervision

Anyone under 13 is not permitted on the Platform, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Teen Users (13 to 17) may not access adult-only (18+) features — including broadcasting, earning, purchasing Echo Coins, or sending or receiving Gifts — and no one may help a minor circumvent these limits. A Teen User, or a child under 13 who is the family member or legal ward of an adult creator, may appear in Content only when physically supervised, in person, by a responsible adult (18+) who is the account holder or who has the verifiable consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian. The supervising adult is fully responsible for the minor's safety and for compliance with applicable law. No appearance is permitted if it sexualizes, exploits, or endangers the minor, regardless of supervision or consent.

3.4No Adjudication of Borderline Content

EchoLive does not attempt to adjudicate borderline minor-safety content. A credible concern triggers immediate removal, preservation, escalation to our safety team, and reporting where required. We err firmly on the side of protecting the child.

3.5Reporting & Information for Parents and Guardians

Anyone can report a suspected child-safety violation using the in-app reporting tools or by contacting legal@echolivenow.com; these reports are confidential and prioritized for immediate review. If you believe a child under 13 has created an Account or provided personal information, or you have concerns about your teen's use of EchoLive, contact legal@echolivenow.com — we will act to remove under-13 Accounts and associated personal information consistent with COPPA. If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

In plain language

This is our most important rule and it has zero exceptions. Anything that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a child is banned outright, leads to an immediate permanent ban, and is reported to NCMEC and law enforcement. This includes grooming, soliciting minors, and any CSAM (real or drawn). Minors can only appear on camera with an adult physically supervising.

4.Hate Speech & Discrimination

We prohibit content and conduct that attacks, demeans, dehumanizes, or promotes hatred or violence against people based on protected characteristics, including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious disease.

4.1Prohibited Hateful Conduct

  • Slurs, dehumanizing language, or hateful stereotypes targeting protected groups.
  • Promotion, glorification, or support of hateful ideologies, hate groups, or their leaders.
  • Hateful symbols, imagery, propaganda, or gestures.
  • Calls for exclusion, segregation, denial of rights, or discrimination against protected groups.
  • Content that celebrates or denies atrocities or violence against protected groups.

4.2Limited Exceptions

We may allow content that references hate speech for clear educational, documentary, scientific, artistic, or counter-speech purposes, provided it does not itself promote hatred and the context is clear.

In plain language

No attacking or dehumanizing people based on who they are (race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, etc.), and no promoting hate groups or hateful symbols. We allow careful references to hate speech only for clear educational or counter-speech purposes.

  • No content depicting sexual acts or simulated sexual acts.

In plain language

  • No coordinated harassment, pile-ons, brigading, or encouraging others to harass.

  • No threats to a person's safety, livelihood, family, or reputation.

7.3Sexual Harassment

No unwanted sexual advances, sexual harassment, or sexually explicit messages directed at unwilling recipients.

In plain language

8.Misinformation, Impersonation & Authenticity

  • No impersonation of any individual, brand, organization, or EchoLive itself, and no misrepresentation of your identity or affiliation.
  • No fake, deceptive, or misleading Accounts or personas designed to deceive others.
  • No harmful misinformation that poses a risk to public safety or individual health, such as dangerous medical misinformation.
  • No coordinated inauthentic behavior or election-related fraud intended to deceive or suppress participation.
  • No manipulated or synthetic media (including deepfakes) presented deceptively to harm, defraud, or mislead.
  • No scams, fraudulent schemes, phishing, or deceptive financial claims.
In plain language

Be who you say you are. No impersonation, fake accounts, deepfakes meant to deceive, dangerous misinformation, election fraud, or scams and phishing.

9.Advertising, Sponsorship & Commercial Standards

  • Paid promotions, sponsorships, and endorsements must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed, consistent with applicable advertising laws and guidelines.
  • No false, deceptive, or misleading advertising or commercial claims.
  • No advertising or sale of prohibited or regulated goods or services (see Sections 10 and 11).
  • No deceptive monetization, including misleading or fraudulent appeals for gifts or fundraising under false pretenses.
  • Commercial activity must comply with the Terms of Service and all applicable law.
In plain language

If you're paid to promote something, disclose it clearly. No false advertising, no selling banned goods, and no tricking people into gifting you under false pretenses.

10.Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco & Medications

10.1Prohibited

  • No sale, promotion, or facilitation of the sale of illegal drugs or controlled substances.
  • No unauthorized sale or promotion of prescription medications.
  • No content that encourages or instructs dangerous drug use or abuse.

10.2Regulated but Permitted with Limits

Content involving legal alcohol or tobacco must comply with applicable law and must not be deceptive or target minors. Because the Platform includes users aged 13 and older, such content is held to heightened care.

In plain language

No selling or promoting illegal drugs or prescription meds, and no encouraging dangerous drug use. Legal alcohol/tobacco content must follow the law and never target minors.

11.Weapons, Firearms & Regulated Goods

11.1Prohibited Weapons Content

  • No sale, trade, or facilitation of the sale of firearms, firearm parts, ammunition, explosives, or other weapons through the Platform.
  • No instructions for manufacturing firearms, explosives, 3D-printed weapons, or other devices designed to cause harm.
  • No use of weapons to threaten or intimidate.

11.2Limited Permitted Content

Lawful content that incidentally depicts weapons (such as licensed hunting, sport shooting at a range, collecting, or educational content) may be permitted where it complies with law and these Guidelines.

In plain language

No selling firearms, ammo, or explosives through the platform, and no instructions for making weapons. Lawful incidental content (like a hunting or sport-shooting video) may be allowed.

12.Illegal Activity & Criminal Behavior

  • No use of the Platform to commit, plan, facilitate, promote, or admit to illegal activity.
  • No money laundering, fraud, human trafficking, or sale of stolen, counterfeit, or illegal goods.

13.1Creator Responsibility

  • Only stream, post, or share Content that you own or have the necessary rights to use, including rights to music and other third-party works.
  • No unauthorized use of copyrighted works, trademarks, or other protected materials.

13.2DMCA & Strikes

  • We respond to valid DMCA notices sent to our designated agent at legal@echolivenow.com and provide a counter-notice process.
  • Copyright violations count toward a strike system; repeated violations result in escalating enforcement up to termination of repeat infringers.

13.3EchoLive Intellectual Property

The EchoLive name, logo, and Platform are protected. You may not use our intellectual property or branding without prior written permission.

In plain language

Only post content you own or have rights to, including music. Copyright owners can send DMCA takedowns to legal@echolivenow.com; repeat infringers lose their accounts. Don't use EchoLive's branding without permission.

14.Spam, Platform Manipulation & Reporting Abuse

  • No spam, including repetitive, unsolicited, or bulk content, comments, or messages.
  • No scams, phishing, or deceptive or malicious links.

14.2Manipulation

  • No manipulation of Platform metrics, levels, rankings, or features, including artificial inflation of views, followers, gifts, or gifter levels.
  • No manipulation of the virtual economy, including self-gifting schemes, coin recycling, and the use of fake or controlled accounts.
  • No use of bots, automation, or unauthorized third-party software to interact with or manipulate the Platform.

14.3Reporting Abuse

  • No abuse of the reporting system. Knowingly false, malicious, or coordinated reporting is itself a violation and may result in a reporting restriction.
  • Use reporting in good faith. Volume of reports does not determine outcomes; a human reviewer assesses the actual content.
In plain language

No spam, scams, or malicious links. No faking your stats (views, followers, gifts) or gaming the coin system, and no bots. Don't abuse the report button with false reports.

15.Privacy & Personal Information

  • No content that pressures, dares, or coerces others toward self-harm.
  • No graphic depiction of self-harm.
We Prioritize SafetyReports indicating that someone may be at risk of self-harm or in crisis are prioritized for urgent review, and we may direct affected users to appropriate resources. If you or someone you know may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
In plain language

No content that promotes or instructs self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders, and nothing that pressures someone toward self-harm. We prioritize reports about someone in crisis. If someone is in immediate danger, call emergency services first.

17.Platform Feature Standards

All Platform features must be used as intended and in accordance with these Guidelines and the Terms of Service. Abuse, exploitation, or manipulation of any feature is prohibited.

17.1Gifting & the Virtual Economy

  • Messaging, chat, and comments must comply with all conduct rules.
  • No unsolicited bulk, abusive, or harassing messaging.

17.4Age-Restricted & Special Stream Settings

Any feature that designates content as restricted or age-sensitive must be used honestly and in compliance with these Guidelines and applicable law. Mislabeling content to evade safety rules is prohibited.

In plain language

Use every feature the way it's meant to be used. No manipulative gifting, no laundering through the coin system, and Amplifier/network features must follow their own agreements. Don't mislabel content to dodge age or safety rules.

18.Reporting Violations

We rely on our community to help keep the Platform safe.

  • You can report any profile, live stream, reel, message, comment, or gift using the in-app reporting tools.
  • Reports are confidential; the reported party is not told who reported them.
  • Reports are reviewed by trained reviewers, and the most serious categories are prioritized and may be escalated immediately.
  • Knowingly false or malicious reporting is itself a violation. Use reporting in good faith.
How to ReportFor urgent safety or legal matters, contact legal@echolivenow.com. For general questions, contact contact@echolivenow.com. In an emergency, contact local emergency services first.
In plain language

See something wrong? Report it in the app. Reports are confidential, so the person won't know who reported them, and serious cases are prioritized. Just don't file fake or malicious reports, since that's a violation too.

19.Enforcement

We enforce these Guidelines through a human-reviewed reporting and enforcement system that uses a graduated toolkit. The action taken depends on the severity, context, and history of the violation.

19.1Enforcement Actions

19.2Notice & Transparency

When we take action, we generally notify the affected User of what action was taken, which rule was violated, how long it lasts, and how to appeal where eligible.

19.3Zero-Tolerance Violations

19.4Appeals

You may appeal most enforcement actions through the process we provide. An appeal is reviewed, where feasible, by a different reviewer than the one who made the original decision. Certain zero-tolerance actions are not subject to appeal.

19.5Priority & Escalation

Matters involving child safety, credible threats, or imminent harm are escalated for immediate handling and may bypass standard review.

19.6Cooperation with Law Enforcement

We cooperate with valid legal process and law enforcement, and we may preserve and disclose Content and information as required or permitted by law, including child-safety reporting to NCMEC.

19.7Discretion & Consistency

We apply these Guidelines using reasonable judgment. Our decision to take or not take action in one instance does not limit our ability to act in another.

In plain language

We enforce with a graduated system: warning, then a targeted restriction, then suspension, then permanent termination, based on how serious and repeated the issue is. We usually tell you what happened and how to appeal. The worst violations (especially child safety) skip straight to a permanent, non-appealable ban.

20.Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Guidelines at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by other reasonable means, and the "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. These Guidelines are incorporated into and governed by the EchoLive Terms of Service and the laws of the State of Ohio.
