Help and FAQ

Signing in, going live, buying coins, sending gifts, getting paid, and fixing the things that most commonly go wrong.

Getting started

Do I need an account to watch?

No. You can browse Discover and watch live streams without signing in, on the web or in the app. An account is required to chat, follow creators, get notified when they go live, send gifts, or broadcast.

How do I create an account?

You can create an account on the web now. When we go live with BETA on Apple and Android, you will also be able to download EchoLive from the Apple App Store or Google Play and tap Sign up. Register with an email address or a phone number. Pick a username you are happy to be known by, because it appears on everything you do.

I cannot sign in.

Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in screen to reset. If the reset email does not arrive within a few minutes, check spam, then confirm you are using the same email or phone number you registered with. Still stuck, email contact@echolivenow.com from the address on the account and include your username.

How old do I have to be?

13 to hold an account and watch. 18 for anything involving money, including buying coins, sending gifts, earning, and withdrawing. See Safety and community.

Going live

How do I start a live stream?

In the app, tap the create button, choose Go Live, add a title and cover image, and start broadcasting. There is no follower minimum and no approval queue.

Can I broadcast from a computer?

Not currently. Broadcasting is an app feature. Watching, chatting, and buying coins all work on the web.

My stream keeps buffering or dropping.

Almost always a connection problem rather than a device problem. Try these in order: switch between wifi and mobile data to see which is more stable, move closer to your router, close other apps using bandwidth, and restart the app. If it persists on multiple networks, email support with your device model and rough times it happened.

How do I get more viewers?

Three things move the needle most. Write a stream title that says what is actually happening in the room. Broadcast on a consistent schedule so people know when to find you. Post clips to your short-form feed, because clips are how most viewers discover a creator they have never heard of, and the clip does the work while you are offline.

What is a PK battle and how do I start one?

A PK battle is a timed head to head contest between creators, decided by gifts from the audience. Start one from the battle controls while you are live, or schedule one in advance from the Battle section of Discover. Full detail on modes, formats, and round lengths is on How live streaming works.

Coins and gifting

How do I buy Echo Coins?

Coin purchases are made on the web at echolivenow.com while signed in to your account. Choose a bundle, pay, and the coins appear in your wallet. Current pricing is shown at checkout.

I bought coins and they have not appeared.

Sign out and back in first, which forces a wallet refresh. If they are still missing after fifteen minutes, email contact@echolivenow.com with your username, the approximate time of purchase, and the payment method used. Do not buy again in the meantime.

Can I get a refund on coins?

Coins are a prepaid entertainment credit. Coins already spent as gifts cannot be refunded, because the value has already transferred to the creator. For questions about an unspent balance or a purchase you did not authorize, email support and see the Terms of Purchase.

How do I send a gift?

Tap the gift icon during a live stream, choose a gift, and send. It plays as an animation for the whole room and is credited to the creator immediately.

Can I transfer coins to another user?

No. Coins are not transferable between accounts. Anyone asking you to send them coins directly is running a scam.

Earning and payouts

How do I start earning?

Go live and receive gifts. Gifts convert to Diamonds in your creator balance. Before you can withdraw, complete identity and age verification in the app. Full detail is on How creators earn.

What is the minimum withdrawal?

The equivalent of 50 US dollars in Diamonds. Payouts go through Stripe to a bank account, or through PayPal.

How long does a withdrawal take?

Withdrawals go through a review and settlement window before funds arrive. The current expected timing is displayed on the withdrawal screen when you submit the request. If a payout is materially past the stated window, email support with your username and the request date.

Why does verification need my ID?

Two reasons. Legally, we have to confirm that anyone withdrawing money is an adult and is who they say they are. Practically, it stops someone who steals your login from also stealing your balance. Verification is handled by our verification partner under our Privacy Policy.

My verification was rejected.

Most rejections are image quality. Retake the photos in good light, with the whole document flat in frame, no glare, and no fingers over the text. Make sure the name on the document matches the name on your account. If it fails again, email support and describe what happened rather than retrying repeatedly.

Do I have to join an Amplifier network?

No. Joining is optional and creators outside a network are not disadvantaged on rate, discovery, or program eligibility.

Do I owe tax on my earnings?

Yes, and it is your responsibility. Creators are independent, not employees, and we do not withhold tax. Talk to a tax professional in your country.

Account and privacy

How do I change my username or profile?

Open your profile, tap Edit, and update your username, photo, and bio. Username changes may be rate limited.

How do I block someone?

Open their profile and choose Block, or press and hold their message in chat. Creators can also appoint moderators to block on their behalf during a stream.

How do I delete my account?

Request deletion from account settings, or email contact@echolivenow.com from the address on the account. Withdraw any remaining balance first, since deletion is not reversible.

Someone is pretending to be EchoLive staff.

Report the account and do not engage. We never ask for your password, never ask you to send coins or Diamonds, and never offer to boost your ranking or raise your revenue share for payment. Real EchoLive email always comes from an echolivenow.com address.

Still stuck

Email contact@echolivenow.com. To get a useful answer on the first reply, include your username, your device and operating system version, what you expected to happen, what actually happened, and the approximate date and time. A screenshot helps more than a description.
